Hatha Yoga
Michelle Couris

This Hatha Yoga Practice will encourage students to go at their own pace and honor their body as it is, perfectly imperfect. You will be guided to use the breath to support your body as you move through poses in order to receive the full benefit of each pose. You will be encouraged to listen to your body, play with balance, and hold poses as you are led through a slow flow yoga practice. There will be clear verbal queues and modifications offered. This class is for you if you have or have not done yoga before. Classes will be geared to all levels.

Yoga mat required. Comfy clothes to move in. A pillow or blanket recommended.

The Joy of Cooking with Plants!

I LOVE FOOD. Now I can eat more and worry less about intake of saturated fat, cholesterol, and toxins, while at the same time reducing my carbon footprint. Helping the environment and saying thank you to the animals who taught me that natures best medicines have always been found in the sacred miracles of 70,000 plant foods . We will make incredible hearty and artful meals using the colors in the produce isle . Combined with whole grains, pastas, spices, herbs, and a myriad of plant based products exploding in the grocery store, we will prepare and eat scrumptious dinners. I am thrilled to share what I have learned about preparing delicious, filling meals that take no time at all. Each class we will make a familiar dish such as Fettuccine Alfredo, Marinated Roasted Portabella Benedict, BBQ Tofu with Rice and Veggies, and Mushroom Stroganoff. We’ll make a gorgeous and vibrant salad in every class as well as dessert. Hand outs will be given to participants with lots of fun web sites to continue learning about the power of cooking with Earth's greatest gifts, what grows from the ground!
