In this course, students are introduced to the food service industry.  Students learn the importance of sanitation as well as food and equipment safety.  Students learn the routines and procedures of our licensed working kitchen, Mineral Springs Cafe. This course also provides an overview of basic baking and cooking methods.  Emphasis is placed on communication and professionalism and how these concepts create a safe and successful working environment.  This class is recommended for students who are interested in the food service industry as well as students who want to learn basic cooking skills.
